this poor dog was laying for over 13h in the street of the village of Alcaudete and the police refused to p the injured animal. A lady called several times the guardia civil (national police) during the day of saturday 29th, but the police told her not to worry, monday morning the trash cleaners will retrieve the dog!
Antonio, a animal protector from a nearby village received a call after midnight from the same, by now desparate, lady. For 13h she had tried to find help for the galgo ... he was still laying there, only 3m away from a restaurant, but nobody cared.
Antonio drove there very late at night, took the dog in his car to his vet and even as he thinks that the poor dehydrated and exhausted dog will not make it, we ask you all to cross fingers and paws for him.
PRO-GALGO has offered to take this lovely dog in as soon as he gets better.

5h later: Antonio the man who saved the dog just told me that to all the vets and his owns surprise, the dog is still alive and fighting, tomorrow he will receive blood from a strong male Boxer. I asked Antonio to call the dog GUAPO ( the good looking) and we still keep our paws and fingers crossed!

I really hope this little one pulls through. I just cant'believe that people just left this poor boy in the streets for 13 hr my god what world do we live in!!!!????????!! Just looking at his beautiful sad face gives me goosebumps. Thank goodness there are people like Antonio!
