hello from spain
here our news as we have taken in 14 galgos from Cordoba in a joint-venture with some private animalists near cordoba and barcelona and on march 21st, already 4 of them are going to germany and france.
All 14 dogs came out of the killingstation in cordoba and were due to be euthanized nearly immediatly as the dogs have been brought in by the hunters no deadline for the extermination was needed. ALI, a very couragous lady saw the dogs and made a call for help and in a moment of "absolut carzyness" I told her to reserve all 14 for us. Merce, my dear friend from Girona, also stepped in and is fostering, transporting and homing dogs here in Spain.
all galgos were in perfect shape, most of them even chipped and vaccinated and even like that, the veterinary, a very hard lady it seems, had descided to eleminate all of the dogs, With a bit of luck and as ALI's father has a good link to the mayor of he city, the veterinary could be stopped very last minute.
Between BULLETIN DE LEVRIERS FRANCE (a fabulous woman named Barbara Lefranc and her team, they home our galgos in France)m PRO-GALGO UK (preparing 2 of the cordob dogs for quarantaine), PRO-GALGO GERMANY (homing the dogs in germany) and some private helpers here in Spain and in Germay we hope to be able to home our doggies soon.
