Hi Beccy,
I have 2 galgo's(males)and I would reccomend galgo's anyday. They are such wonderful dogs, and no problem at all in the house or with other dogs. It wasn't known if my galgo's were good with cats,( I have 8) and they had been "tested" in Spain and as far as they could tell , they were not fierce towards them. Once they arrived in the house here, there was no problem at all, they all just cuddled up.
We decided to go for two traumatised galgo's, as these dogs are also in need of a good home. They have both come round so well, and I don't think the people at the shelter would even recognise them now. They are so happy and playfull.
The galgo's and galga's in Spain are used to living in groups and they are usually very very sociable with other dogs. I have 4 dogs here (3 males and one female) and they have never ever had a fight at all. Galgo's are very placid and gentle dogs, very quiet in the house, they hardly bark and do not pull on the leash. I'm sure that when you do adopt one, you will never want anything else........you sure wont be dissapointed
I hope you find your galga friend...good luck
greetings Hil
