Spreading the Word About the Spanish Galgo

Galgo Internation Rescue Network - Knab Talk
Abby Christman spoke at the 2006 and 2007 Kanab Greyhound Gatherings about the plight of the Spanish Galgo.
Public awareness and education is probably one of the most important pieces of work the Galgo Rescue International Network can do. Through printed materials, television news stories, presentations at events in the US, and this website, G.R.I.N. hopes to educate the American public about the horror that is the life of the Spanish Galgo.

Abby Christman, G.R.I.N. founder, has been given the opportunity to speak at three Greyhound Gathering events in the United States. She travelled to Kanab, Utah in April 2006 to speak to the attendees of the Annual Greyhound Gang Greyhound Gather. She gave a similar talk at the West Coast Greyhound Gathering in Solvang, California in March 2007, and again at the gathering in Kanab in May 2007. Please click the links below to read more about these gatherings.

Galgo Internation Rescue Network - Best Friends
Abby Christman and Telma Shaw met with Sharon St, Joan and Amy Hogg of Best Friends Animal Society in Kanab, Utah to discuss ways GRIN and Best Friends could work together to help the Spanish Galgo.

G.R.I.N. has a number of informational pamphlets about the Spanish Galgo, the shelters, and ways to help.
