Kona's history: Kona was found with his mother hidden in a hole in the ground that had been covered with a board, a common method gypsies use to "secure" their dogs. Kona was very bonded to his mother (having been with her long after weaning), and still seeks the comfort of female galgos. His mother, Christiane (now Maggie) came to the United States in April 2007.

UPDATE! Kona has found his forever home! An active setting would be best and Kona craves attention from both his human and canine companions. He currently lives with a cat and is cat-safe. Kona is a very sweet and charming boy, slightly shy at first but warms up quickly. If you are interested in adopting Kona, please email
