Maggie and her son, Kona, were rescued by Scooby volunteers when they were found buried in a hole in the ground covered by a board. Kona came to the US in October 2006, and Maggie made the same trip in April 2007. She was supposed to have gone to Chinook Winds Greyhound Adoption in Canada (great friends and supporters of G.R.I.N.), but ended up falling in love with her new mom, a Best Friends Animal Society employee, when she was taken to the Kanab Greyhound Gathering on her way to Canada. She is a truly special girl who is very loved. She lives happily with her mom and a group of cats in Kanab, Utah.
