PeTunya, is an Irish greyhound who raced 128 races at the Barcelona greyhound track. She was taken to Scooby after the closure of the track in February 2006. PeTunya is a very special girl and has special needs. She is very frightened of people and children, but is a very sweet and loving girl. She also has some health issues and is currently being treated for asymptomatic Babesiosis. After months of fostering PeTunya, board member Judy Greenfield formally adopted her.

Yoda, known as Ruben II at Scooby, is not only the G.R.I.N. posterboy, but also a wise and wonderful gentleman. Abby Christman met him at Scooby in February 2006 and requested he make the June trip to the US.
Francesca's story before coming to Scooby is unknown. Abby Christman found Francie at Scooby in February 2006 and just knew this sweet, fuzzy-faced girl needed to find her forever home. So Francie became a part of the "Return To Paradise" rescue mission and flew back to the US where she was greeted by her new loving mom, board member Bev McInis, and the rest of the McInis family. Francie quickly stole everyone's heart and is a very special member of her family. Bev tells tales of her silliness, including the trademark galgo grunting and moaning we who share their lives have come to love.
Prisa, known as Laura in her Scooby days, is a very special girl with an incredible story. In January 2005, Scooby received an emergency call - barking could be heard coming from a deep well! Scooby enlisted the help of the local fire/rescue team and extracted five dogs from the bottom of the well where they had been dumped and left to die by their former owner. Scooby pursued the case in court and in the end, the former owners were punished - a landmark case for Scooby and Spain, and a huge step for Prisa - she was now free to go to a home!
Sanchez is a friendly little galgo mix pup who was rescued by Scooby in the fall of 2005. When the Operation Scooby team visited in October 2005, Jason Cordeiro, VMD, fell in love with the little guy. Sanchez now lives in Colorado with Jason and his brindle gang.
You may have noticed that Chata falls a little short of being a galgo (pun intended). She is a rather old beagle/pointer mix who was brought to Scooby by the people who had been using her for breeding when she had outlived her usefulness to them. And what a good thing that was! When she arrived at Scooby she had a pyometra (infected uterus) which required an emergency spay to save her life. Abby Christman met Chata during her February mission to Scooby. Her silly blanket loving, snorting and wiggling ways charmed Abby and she requested that Chata be allowed to come to the US in June.
